Bend - Redding - Larkspur - Sacramento

This trip kind of came up unexpectedly! I was in WA the week prior at Mocean and one of my dealers in CA was hoping for Moceans before the holiday season so I made it happen! About 28 hours of driving of 36 hour total travel time with a few shop visits. I had two Moceans that I mercenary hauled for a NY dealer that sold them online but then had not figured out how to safely move them to the customer in CA. The rate for these two boats covered most of my fuel overhead for this loop so I made it happen!

This week, the industry had the Paddlesports Trade Coalition meeting in North Carolina. I opted not to go this year because I have been feeling that every week I can be on the road within the West is very important right now. Dealer visits are very important and a week on the East Coast would actually cost me two weeks of road time by the time I got home and ready for the next trip.

I was able to check in on 3 to 4 dealers this week and safely get kayaks to several customers so I'm feeling pretty good about that. Here's a quick video of this trip through gorgeous Fall conditions in southern Oregon and N CA. It was a lot of driving since I was just in this area a few weeks earlier. I'd like to slow drift around N CA this winter and take some time to paddle a bit!
